Claude Cahun (25 October 1894 – 8 December 1954) was a French artist, photographer and writer. Their work was both political and personal, and often undermined traditional concepts of gender roles. Claude Cahun was possibly transgendered, and since their correct gender pronouns are disputable, it is generally accepted to use gender neutral pronouns such as they, them, and themself.
